TORCH

Established in October 2012, The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities (TORCH) stimulates and supports research activity that transcends disciplinary and institutional boundaries.

Based at the historic Radcliffe Humanities Building, the Centre provides an important opportunity for Oxford’s humanities scholars to collaborate with researchers in other colleges, disciplines, divisions and institutions, and to engage with non-academic partners and the wider public. Through provision of seminar rooms, start-up funding, administrative support and publicity, the Centre enables new communities of scholars to generate and develop cross-disciplinary research agendas. The Centre also provides research space for roughly twenty early-career scholars and intends to work in partnership with other research centres within and beyond Oxford.  Please visit the TORCH website,https://torch.web.ox.ac.uk/transportation-transformation#/.
